Brezdomna Nicky je upornica, ki si želi postati rock zvezda. Pamela je osamljena, introvertirana hči petičnega newyorškega politika. Srečanje dveh »problematičnih« najstnic v isti sobi na psihiatriji je usodno, saj skupaj pobegneta, ustanovita pank skupino The Sleez Sisters in pogumno zaživita na newyorški underground sceni, pri čemer ju sprva podpira le radijski DJ. Kultni film o najstniškem uporništvu in ženskem zavezništvu, v katerem ne manjka dobre glasbe iz osemdesetih let. Pa še to: režiser Alan Moyle je iz protesta, ker so izrezali nekaj eksplicitno lezbičnih prizorov, predčasno zapustil produkcijo!
Rich girl Pammy is the sheltered daughter of a prominent politician. Wild child Nicky is a tough runaway. Together, the two teens escape from a psychiatric hospital and with the help of radio DJ Johnny LaGuardia, become punk rock heroes on the streets of New York City. But just as their outrageous new life begins to come together, they find that society wants to tear them apart. Can a sisterhood that runs soul deep survive the cold heart of the city?

Pro-sex feministično gibanje, ki se je začelo v osemdesetih v ZDA, je zagovarjalo, da morajo same reprezentacije telesa in ugodja prevzeti ženske in seksualne manjšine ter da pornografija ne bi smela biti podvržena nadzoru patriarhalne države. O današnjem pankpornofeminističnem gibanju, ki dojema seks, pornografijo in prostitucijo tudi kot sredstva osvoboditve, spregovorijo aktivistke, prostitutke, pornoigralke, striptizete, lezbijke in razne performerke, med njimi Annie Sprinkle, Scarlot Harlot in Lydia Lunch. Še eno drzno delo pisateljice in režiserke Virginie Despentes, njen celovečerni film Posili me (2000) smo lahko videli tudi na ljubljanskem festivalu Liffe. Unlike the abolitionist feminist movement, the pro-sex feminist movement, which began in the United States during the 1980s, asserts that representations of the body and of pleasure are areas that must be taken over by women and sexual minorities and that pornography must not be subject to control by the patriarchal state.
